I think it would have to be…Platinum Weird’s Will You Be Around. Why? Any band that’s part of an elaborate hoax, claiming to be from 1974, (and not 2004) with its own mockumentary, bogus fan websites and related false documents for the “lost” group is bound to be most excellent.

I popped over from Serra’s place though I’ve seen you at Julie’s as well.

One of my fave titles is Alliadin Sane by Bowie. I also like the title “If we only knew then what we know now..” by Talas. Speak English or Die by the Stormtroopers of Death is direct and to the point.

Fave album covers – anything by Iron Maiden. Also Queen’s News of the World.

Hmm…my favorite album title? I’d probably choose The Doobie Brothers “What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits”. Why? Because they’re right. ;-)

For some reason, that reminds me of the Gnarles Barkley cover, if you squint a little, and hold it farther away. :)

My favorite album cover? That is a good question…..
I’ll have to think on that one for a bit. I was/am obsessed with Sting though, so it’s probably related to him somehow. :)

    That’s a good one.

I can’t think of any others off the top of my head.

“The Rise and Fall of Ziigy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars” by David Bowie, “Hot Space” by Queen, and “Electric Warrior” by T. Rex. With an honorable mention for Mott the Hoople’s “Shouting and Pointing.”

I remember cracking up as a child at Simon & Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits, numerous Elton John, Queen, and one of a man’s be-denimed crotch… can’t remember that band for some reason. ;) But a favorite? I’m not sure I have one.

  16.

How about “The Smoker You Drink, the Player You Get” by Joe Walsh or
“Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy” by The Who? ;)

  17.

“Dark Side of the Moon” popped into my head too, as did Jackson Browne’s “Late for the Sky”. Great question!

I’m rather fond of Joe Walsh’s “The Smoker You Drink, The Player You Get” for an album title.

The best album ever released will be when David Hasselhoff saves up the $5-million to get Ice-T to produce his rap album.

Till then, the best Album/Title/Cover is: Fabio: After Dark.

With respect to REO Speedwagon, You Can Tune a Piano, But You Can’t Tuna Fish is good, and I also like High Infidelity. Puns on album covers make me happy.

My favorite album art is Every Journey Album Ever Made.

With respect to my taste in music, shut up.

[...] We all posted our favorite album/cd titles the other day, which I thoroughly enjoyed. So in that same groove, I want to hear your vote for the all time WORST album/cd ever! The one that made you cringe, recoil in horror, laugh your ass off and or say to yourself, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING??* [...]

No wait, I just got here! So many good ones, I like Kris Kristofferson’s “Easter Island”, and his “To the Bone”. Favorite Live CD’s are Bruce Springsteen Live in New York City, Grand Funk Railroad : Bosnia (relief effort CD) and Rick Springfield’s “Alive The Greatest Hits” for the energy.
