Another typical Sunday night at Casa de Lisa B., Chinese food delivery, (Beef with Broccoli and a Spring Roll in case you were wondering,) eaten in front of the TV. Glamorous eh?
Don’t you wish you were me?
Pffffffftttt.
But I do feel the need to issue fair warning, right here and right now:
if Extreme Makeover: Home Edition continues to make me cry, I’m going to make ABC buy me this and this.
Don’t make me tell you again.
He he he, I’m first! I’m first!
Now I can tell you that your glamorous dinner is pretty much the same as mine, except mine is a frozen indian food thing and I have 3 sets of dog eyes glued to my plate. Ahhh, what a life. And if you don’t wear mascara when you watch that stupid show, then half of your problem is solved. I’m just sayin’…
What? You’re supposed to have solids for dinner? I knew I was doing something wrong. It all started with my need to rehydrate. Then i thought some dehydration, in the form of Pinot Grigio, wouldn’t be that bad.
And I have stopped watching Extreme Home Makeover long ago because they have never supplied me with tissues. Instead, I will be watching Amazing Race tonight. Although the folks at CBS may owe me a new TV soon when I break my current one because I am so pissed off over the race results.
A case? Why are you crying to begin with?
chinese food? um yeah, I DO wish I were you!! that’s my favorite!
What this entry needs is the roof blowing off of your house. Now THAT’S excitement.
Albiet, of the unwelcome kind…
You want that in “waterproof” I assume
I saw the last 20 minutes of EM. My “allergies” suddenly acted up (yeah). The signed guitar, the heart garden– her own heart– it was very heartfelt and touching. I hope something can be done to correct her heart problems. I used to wonder if that show was real, but they did a home for a Blacksburg, VA family and it was so much in the news around here that I’m convinced it is.
Schnoodlepooh – You’re first!! WooHoo
Good idea about the mascara lol.
Dagny – I should have made the food thingy clear. My bad
Paul – Do not be so literal, Hon. Twas all a joke, except the kid with 4 heart surgeries did make me cry… a lot.
Dawn – Come on over!
D-Man – Interesting suggestion. I’ll pass thanks. It’s bad enough it happened to Andy.
Carolyn – You betcha! And it was incredibly touching. I kept hoping that they would offer the best heart surgeon in the country to volunteer his services or something…
We need to work on your entertainment choices. Do you have Netflix?
If I was you I’d make them buy you an apartment for all of your trouble. And to decorate it. Just not by that chick with the pink tools.
I only cry at that show because of Ty screaming so loud all the time…
DutchBitch – ditto! he used to be cute, what happened??
Sorry, Lisa, have never seen the show. The need for a case, was intriguing. Let’s see, 2+2=4. Got it.
Mal Snay – Apparently I need to subscribe!
Vince – Great idea!!! And no pink tools
DutchBitch & Kathryn – Apparently Ty hasn’t learned what a microphone is…
Paul – LOL, no worries!
Lisa: I think a cooler show would to be see you as a Guest on Larry King to discuss all of your cool work and the personalities you’ve met! And Ally could be there as well!!
I stopped watching EMHE because of all the emotional blackmail. That, and the fact that I’m not convinced that one person’s hardships are any more valid than anyone else’s.
That said, I’d start watching it again if ABC would buy me expensive makeup, but only really because I want the expensive makeup. I’m willing to own my materialism.
Also, Ty is a hottie and I’d let him take off his shirt in my house anytime.
That’s okay for a Sunday night but if you did the same on Saturday night… eh well!
We had chinese takeout this weekend . IT WAS GOOOD!! The good thing is if you order a lot you can eat it the next day.
I have never seen that show!
We had Chinese last week and I think I’m finally getting tired of eating the same old same old when it comes to Chinese take out. I’m more of a Thai girl at this point (or Korean even!) Ever had Vietnamese food? I highly recommend that, too!
Actually, beef and broccoli does sound pretty good to me right now.
I don’t know. Where I come from, Chinese food eaten in front of the tv sounds downright blissful these days.:)
Only $23 for a mascara brush? Where can I buy a gross? (When they’re in, I might send you one; you seem like a pretty good person.)
Get Netflix and friend me, Lisa!
Ugh… only saw the first half and then had to take a phone call. But I definitely could see the tear-factor potential!!! This show makes my big burly brother cry too, if that’s any consolation. LOL
It must be a good show Lisa, I’ll check it out! Building homes for the disadvantaged is cool, no matter what the reason (ratings?).
Mmmm, beef and spring roll! If I ever feel like life is not great, I just remember the billions of people right now that would consider my life an actual heaven on earth. Or I could have been born in the 14th century and probably burned as a heretic or something. How’s that for cheesy?
I refuse to watch that show. My husband tivos it every week and he bawls like a little baby. I do not feel the need to do that to myself.
Actually some Chinese food sounds real good sitting in front of Idol tonight.
My chinese food of choice is chicken lo mein, crab rangoons and beef teriyaki.
Chinese food delivered, then eaten in front of the TV is my definition of one great night. New York City teems with restaurants that deliver. Boston is an entirely different story. A lot of times I have to go out and get the Hot & Sour soup.
