My 2009 ended with on a wonderful note – HCFG and I are engaged!!! We are very excited and are looking forward to our future life together.

So I already told you that our holiday trip started off badly. Our new flight was rescheduled to leave on the morning of Christmas Eve at 6:20 a.m. We packed until the wee hours of the morning, and then collapsed for a brief rest.

When HCFG and I traveled for Thanksgiving, we had to leave on a separate days. I took the whole week off, but he had to work down to the wire. He traveled on Thanksgiving Day, and because he is a bajillion-mile-flyer he was upgraded to First Class.

After our first vacation as a couple last August went so smoothly, HCFG and I decided to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas together. We also figured that things have been going well enough that we’re at the “meet the parents” stage, (hopefully unlike the movie of the same name.)
