So I already told you that our holiday trip started off badly. Our new flight was rescheduled to leave on the morning of Christmas Eve at 6:20 a.m. We packed until the wee hours of the morning, and then collapsed for a brief rest.

We just got back in town over the weekend after a fantastic-fun-filled-trip!

It’s the Saturday night before Christmas, and we are leaving for our trip out West the next morning. We just dropped Ally da Pup off at her pet sitter’s and are heading home. When HCFG and I traveled for Thanksgiving, we had to leave on a separate days. I took the whole week off, but he had to work down to the wire. He traveled on Thanksgiving Day, and because he is a bajillion-mile-flyer he was upgraded to First Class.

After our first vacation as a couple last August went so smoothly, HCFG and I decided to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas together. We also figured that things have been going well enough that we’re at the “meet the parents” stage, (hopefully unlike the movie of the same name.)

This past August, HCFG and I took a road trip to Maine to celebrate his birthday. We planned a long weekend, but decided to take things at a leisurely pace. The only high pressure thing on the schedule was arriving in Bar Harbor in time for dinner.
